Curren$y Spitta and Drupey Beats have reunited for another banger. Taking to a twangy chord-progression, Curren$y boasts the benefits of entrepreneurial pimpery, including an active sex life and steady source of income. Regardless of moral implications, the man has distanced himself from the court of public opinion. Case in point, he's watching the masses from a private jet, lighting up, the titular "fire in the clouds," as it were. While some doomsday scholars theorize his weed induced trips have triggered apocalyptic visions, his laid-back demeanour suggests otherwise.

As per usual, Spitta's flow is effortless, and while he's probably not leading the "best flow" conversation, he certainly plays the role of "Mr. Reliable" well enough. Lyrically, "Fire In The Clouds" is far from groundbreaking, yet it never professes to be. Curren$y has reached the point where he's kicking back and stretching his legs. Perhaps we'll see him shifting from his comfort zone on his upcoming project, set to drop August 31st.

Quotable Lyrics

I got a house for the fam, a condo for the killers
I'm sleepin' in that one, I'm smoking in this one
Ain't got no diamonds on that one, but I got diamonds on this one
Poke my watch out the window, I don't need turn signals
