FX found itself with a hit on its hands after their biopic about the OJ Simpson trial became one of the most popular new shows in 2016. The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story is part of a larger American Crime Story series, and its creators just picked one of the bigger political scandals of the last two decades for another season: the Monica Lewinsky trial.

For any of the younger individuals reading, Monica Lewinsky was an intern at the White House in the 1990s and used to fornicate with then-President Bill Clinton. Her colleague recorded the conversations, and the US found itself almost impeaching its president over a few blowjobs. The TV version will be adapted from Jeffrey Toobin’s book on A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President, which should be welcome news for The People v. O.J. fans because Toobin wrote the source material for that story as well.

We won’t be seeing the Monica Lewinsky story quite yet, because there are two more stories that are already in the works: a story on the Hurricane Katrina aftermath and a story about the assassination of designer Gianni Versace.

Were y'all a fan of The People v. O.J. Simpson?
