Griselda's stalwart soldier Conway continues to expand on his prolific run, linking up with British rapper slash producer Sonnyjim for a heated new EP. For those who savor golden era's seedy underbelly, look no further. The miscreants are out and about. Not only have the pair come forth with one of the year's most fire album titles, but they've managed to blend their distinct sounds in a credible and accomplished fashion.
The six track project features production from Jim, who steps behind the mic for a highlight verse on "Cristal & Cereal." The sole feature arrives courtesy of Roc Marciano, who once again shines with poetic street vernacular. Conway remains in fine form, perhaps more understated than usual, as he navigate's Jim's hazy, jazz-infused lo-fi poduction; shades of MF Doom come to mind throughout, and that's never a bad thing. One can only hope the duo continue to expand on their chemistry, as Death By Misadventure flourishes as a promising first chapter.
