2013's looking like a busy year for Common. He was a guest on Late Night With Jimmly Fallon last night, and revealed plans for a new EP, mixtape and album while promoting his ninth film, Luv.

The EP comes first, accompanying the release of Luv, which hits theatres on January 18th. He plans to drop his first mixtape ever in April, and a new LP in September. He didn't elaborate further, but seemed optimistic for the year.

In Luv, Common plays a recently paroled ex-con trying to get back on his feet and become a positive influence in his 11-year-old nephew's life. Set in Baltimore, it premiered at Sundance and stars Michael Rainey Jr., Dennis Haysbert, Danny Glover, Michael K. Williams, Meagan Good and Charles S. Dutton.
