Colin Kaepernick has begun selling black #7 football jerseys with "#ImWithKap" written across the front and his name across the back. Last month, the former quarterback filed an application to trademark his signature "I'm With Kap" slogan for use on jerseys, shirts, hoodies, caps and other apparel.

The jerseys, which sold out quickly after they went live on Kaepernick's website, are priced at $175 and 20% of proceeds will go to Know Your Rights Camp, a free campaign for youth funded by Kaepernick to raise awareness on self-empowerment and interacting with law enforcement.

Nike recently introduced a new 30th anniversary "Just Do It" campaign which featured Kaepernick along with the slogan, "Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything." The polarizing ad resulted in more than $43 million worth of media exposure gained within the first 24 hours, according to Apex Marketing Group, and Time's Gina Martinez reports the apparel company has seen a 31% boost in online sales since the start of the campaign.

According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, Nike does not have any plans to release a Colin Kaepernick signature shoe, or an extensive clothing line, as some rumors have suggested. Rovell notes that Kaepernick originally signed with Nike in 2011 and he has remained on their roster since, despite being out of the NFL and not appearing in any campaigns over the last two years.
