If only Darius from Atlanta were here to comment about "Florida Man," or the other bizarre occurrences that come from The Sunshine State. According to the Palm Beach Post, the town of Lake Worth experienced a power outage. While push notifications have become normal in 2018, residents in the beach town were caught off guard when their phones were hit with a power outage and zombie warning. Yes, zombie warning.

While a man was caught eating another man's face in Florida years back, there is no imminent zombie attack taking place in the state... to our knowledge. The notification read, "Power outage and zombie alert for residents of Lake Worth and Terminus. There are now far less than seven thousand three hundred and eighty customers involved due to extreme zombie activity. Restoration time uncertain." For anyone who watches The Walking Dead, the "Terminus" joke in the notification is immediately discernable. On the show, Terminus is a town full of cannibals.

City spokesman Ben Kerr took to Facebook Live to let civilians know that there was no zombie apocalypse, and that everything was going to be alright. “We are looking into reports that the system mentioned zombies,” Kerr stated. “I want to reiterate that Lake Worth does not have any zombie activity currently and apologize for the system message.” According to Kerr, 7,880 customers were affected and power was restored within 27 minutes.
