Let City Girls tell it. They’ll take your man. This week marked the arrival of the brash duo’s debut mixtape PERIOD. On it, JT and Yung Miami put on for Quality Control as a they trade off on unrepentant and X-rated bars for sixteen tracks straight.
While the majority of the track is, quite obviously, centered around the vengeful act of stealing another woman’s eye candy for the sake of making a point, City Girls also use the track as a clear indication towards their status in the game and challenge critics’ go-to assumptions about how they got to where they are as Yung Miami lets out the PSA: “That’s Yung Miami and she signed to QC/How the f-ck she got a deal, and she been rappin' about a week?/She probably suck Pee dick, or let Coach f-ck, nah hoe I’m a G b-tch/Straight from out the bottom, and I'll beat a b-tch ass if a h-e got a problem."
