Influential rock songwriter and guitarist Chuck Berry has died at age 90. Known for hits like "Johnny B. Goode," "Maybellene," and "Roll Over Beethoven," Berry was hugely important to the music world, inspiring bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Kinks.

St. Charles County PD has reported that Berry died Saturday afternoon. His cause of death is not yet known, and his family is requesting privacy at this time.

Berry was one of the very first inductees into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.
