Christian Combs celebrated his 18th birthday yesterday by signing a record deal with his father's label, Bad Boy Records. Diddy made the announcement yesterday by uploading an Instagram video of Christian signing his name on the contract. In between Sean Combs and Christian Combs sits L.A. Reid, the CEO of Epic Records, the company that handles distribution duties for Bad Boy.
"NEW DEAL ALERT," wrote Diddy in the video's caption.
Christian also memorialized the moment on his Instagram by posting a picture of himself mid-signature. "Yesterday was the greatest day of my life," he wrote. "Not only was it my birthday, but also the day a dream came true. I got signed to Bad Boy Records."
Christian doesn't have much music out there yet, though that will likely change with his new record deal. One thing's clear: Bad Boy will remain a family affair for the foreseeable future.
