This Mother's Day, as countless individuals flooded social media with accounts of their beloved moms, Chrissy Teigen took to her own platform to reflect on motherhood, uploading a throwback black-and-white photo of her while she was with child.
Under the mirror selfie, the actress, model, and author pens the caption: "The best thing I've ever made are my babies. thank you for making me a mommy and changing my life forever."
With John Legend, Chrissy Teigen is a mother to the couple's three-year-old daughter Luna and 11-month-old son Miles. Equally, Legend took to his Instagram to post a tribute to his wife. Uploading a video of his wife and children attached to the caption, “Happy Mother’s Day to my Queen! Luna, Miles and I love you so much and we’re so grateful for you everyday!”

During both of her pregnancies, Teigen was particularly open and vocal about her journey, especially as it pertained to her battle with postpartum depression.
"I also just didn't think it could happen to me. I have a great life. I have all the help I could need: John, my mother (who lives with us), a nanny," she wrote in an essay for Glamour back in 2017. "But postpartum does not discriminate. I couldn't control it. And that's part of the reason it took me so long to speak up: I felt selfish, icky, and weird saying aloud that I'm struggling. Sometimes I still do."
