The son of Pun has come through with another barrage. The latest installment of his weekly freestyle series finds Rivers tackling the A$AP Rocky posse cut "1 Train." Off the bat, Rivers delivers lines that would make his father proud; the lyrical dexterity is on point, and there's no shortage of punchlines. In fact, they seem to make up the bulk of the opening stanza. He even throws in a reference to Bulbasaur, alluding to the fact that "bitches" tend to love the little green creature. Clearly the reference game is on point.
Rivers is unapologetic in his approach to lyricism. The art of rhyming words and flow remain at the forefront, and with every drop, he continues to establish himself as a deadly individual. Like fellow bar-spitting Crooked I did back in the day, Rivers seems intent on coming through with relentless freestyles until you have no choice but to take notice.
