Although the heavily embattled Chris Brown managed to escape charges after a woman accused him of stealing her phone and punching her. The Nevada District Attorney determined there wasn’t enough evidence to pursue the misdemeanor charges, and Chris Brown even spoke of plans to countersue after the woman’s accusations dragged his name through the mud yet again.
However, it looks like Chris Brown isn’t out of the woods yet. Liziane Gutierrez has followed up her rejected criminal complaint with a civil lawsuit, making the same allegations as before: that Chris Brown and/or some of his associates hit her in the face/arms/hands and took her cell phone after she entered the singer’s room in the Palms Hotel and Casino. The damages would include theft, battery and defamation (for the video Chris Brown uploaded denying the accusations and calling her an "old, dusty bitch"). No word on what kind of damages she's seeking.
Chris Brown has not responded to the lawsuit, but we’ll update as the story progresses.
