Chris Brown either can't catch a break or suffers some major difficulty in restraining himself. According to a lawsuit filed by a man named Malcolm Ausbon Thursday on Feb. 13, Brown, along with his entourage who are also named in the suit (but remain unidentified), allegedly threatened bodily harm to Aubson during a game of Basketball.

Aubson is also suing the 24-Hour-Fitness studio where the alleged assault took place. He reportedly suffered from injuries to his face, head, ribs and legs, and was rushed to the hospital after the (alleged) assault took place. Interestingly enough though, the lawsuit also claims Chris Brown to be a member of the Bloods gang and notes that (reportedly) a member of Brown's crew said during the incident, "If you fuck with Chris, you fuck with us."

It seems like only yesterday that Brown was released from prison after his felony charge was reduced to a misdemeanor. Indeed, he's been involved a number of little scraps resulting in numerous lawsuits.

What do you think of this latest incident? Is it an instance of Brown fallen victim as easy legal prey or is it very much likely that he's guilty? Or is it somewhere in the middle?

[Update: Brown Counter-Sues]

According to Chris Brown's team, the lawsuit laid against him, claiming he assaulted a man in a pick-up basketball game, is just another attempt to exploit the singer, after a failed attempt at extortion.

Ausbon, the man accusing Chris of playing a role in his assault, had apparently already admitted to Brown's team that the singer was not responsible for the fight, but later had his lawyer attempt to milk them for $250,000.

The letter read as follows:

Mr. Ausbon believes $250,000 will suffice compensating him for his physical and emotional injuries ... Mr. Ausbon is placed in a position by the LAPD where he needs to decide whether he will press charges for aggravated assault and battery...However, Mr. Ausbon prefers not to resort to filing these claims or the lawsuit.  He would rather be compensated.

When the singer did not fulfill th erequest, the lawsuit surfaced.

Brown is now counter-suing Ausbon for extortion, putting him on a side of the courtroom he rarely sees these days.
