Harlem and Chinatown connect on "Going Down," the new record from China Mac and Dave East. Mac is an up-and-coming emcee who's interested in bringing the gritty sound back into New York hip-hop, and those who've been keeping up with the city's rap scene will know Dave East has been pushing the same movement for a minute now.
The black-and-white visual, which takes place in Chinatown, Harlem, and Queens, definitely has a tough, locals-only feel about it. Each emcee brings fast, attitude-heavy bars, and Mac slows it down and sings on a hook inspired by classic 50 Cent records.
