Childish Gambino's "Redbone" has been certified platinum by the RIAA. The song is the second single from Gambino's third studio album "Awaken, My Love!". It peaked at 45 on the Hot 100, making it the rapper and singer's highest charting song to date. This is Gambino's 3rd platinum single following 2011 single "Hearbeat" and 2013 single "3005," both of which were certified in the last 8 months.

"Redbone" reached a wider audience when it was featured in Jordan Peele's critically-acclaimed hit film Get Out!, where it was used in both the opening scene and end credits.

After famously praising the group in the Golden Globes acceptance speech for his FX Series Atlanta, Gambino (real name Donald Glover) met up with Migos in London last week. Both sides have expressed desire to record a collaboration in the future. However, Glover has become busy with his acting career, being cast in the new Star Wars film, and voicing Simba in an upcoming Lion King remake.
