It feels like forever since the Major League Baseball season ended last October. Just five months later, all 30 teams have gone through spring training and are ready to compete for a championship. Today is opening day for the league, which essentially marks the beginning of Spring and a long drawn-out 162 game season. One of the teams that seem to be incredibly excited about the beginning of baseball season is the Chicago Cubs. Of course, the Cubs were able to put to bed a long championship streak back in 2016. The team seemed to be cursed up until the year, although they were finally able to get over the hump.

Just yesterday, the team released a chill-inducing hype video to get fans excited about the return of the MLB season. The video uses Wrigley Field as the backdrop and features some Cubs legends like Billy Williams, Ryne Sandberg, Fergie Jenkins, and Andre Dawson.

Unfortunately for Cubs fans, the team will only be making its home debut on April 8th. They will be starting the season on the road against the Texas Rangers who they play against today at 3 P.M. EST.
