We’re excited to premiere a new track from Brooklyn native Chelsea Reject, from her EP set to release in 2016.
The emcee goes in over an OnGaud beat, absolutely destroying it with rapid-fire lyricism. Embedded in the rhyme schemes are Chelsea Reject’s objects of stress in her life, things that everyone can relate to – from being overwhelmed with what you don’t know, debt, and not settling with what you’ve already achieved.
We’re excited to hear more from Chelsea Reject this year, especially since this is how she vents. The rapper released CMPLX in 2015, cop it on iTunes.
Rapping shit a habit
I be so gifted you gotta unwrap it
Riding my bike in the city through traffic
life moving fast as I try not to panic
college education still looking tragic
9 to 5 ain't gon' get me no mansions
I just want the time, you can keep the money
I just want the grind, one day imma shine
