We know Chance the Rapper is cooking up new material at the moment as he’s been recently spotted in the studio working with Lil Yachty, Quavo, & 2 Chainz to name a few, but on Tuesday Chano from 79th decided to give fans a little preview of what he’s been cooking up by himself while in the studio.

Shared via his Instagram Live stories, Chano decided to relive some of the songs from his collaborative Christmas tape with Jeremih last year Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama, before going ahead and giving us a snippet of a brand new record at the end.

There’s no word yet as for what the song is called or where it’ll will land, but it’s definitely nice to hear him get back to the rapping.

Earlier this month, producer Bongo ByTheWay informed us that Chance and Jeremih are continuing their joint Christmas project by re-releasing the project as a full album this year, with addition of a couple new songs, which we might’ve just heard.

“It’s gonna be a little bit of both, but pretty much, it’s gonna be a completion of that project,” Bongo told Rap-Up. “We just put it out for the culture, for the fans and stuff. Now, we’re really finishing it up and we’re gonna put it out right. It’s gonna have new music. It’s gonna be mixed and mastered and everything.”

The untitled album is still being finished, according to Bongo. “We’re literally still putting it together,” he added. “It’s gonna be one of those [where] everything is gonna come together super fast.”

This unreleased preview from Chano surfaces online just a couple days after he killed his hosting duties on SNL this past weekend. In case you missed any of his hilarious skits, revisit them right here.
