Thousands of people are calling Lyfts every day but not every passenger is lucky enough to have none other than Chance The Rapper as their undercover driver. The Chicago-bred emcee teamed up with the on-demand transportation company for their Undercover Lyft series in support of SocialWorks’ New Chance Fund.
In the video below, Chance picks up passengers to drive them to their Chicago destination wearing nothing but shades and a beanie to hide his identity. During the trip, he coins his best Chance jokes and even asks the drivers who their favourite hip-hop artists are where his name is mentioned more than once.
“Together, Lyft and I have been giving back with Round Up & Donate for SocialWorks’ New Chance Fund,” Chance said in an official statement. “Now, we’re having some fun in my hometown, Chicago, as I go undercover as a Lyft driver. I hope this video encourages even more folks to give back just by taking a Lyft."
Chicago riders can contribute to the cause by choosing to have their fare rounded up to the nearest dollar and that money will be donated to charity - watch the video below.
