Cardi B is back to drop some truth. The rapper's previous Instagram rants have been more political - which sparked her dog walking comment to Tomi Lahren - and today Cardi's statements are more on the financial matter. The "Money" rapper posted a video calling out those who comment on the lavish spendings of the rich and famous, explaining just how much the IRS really takes off celebrities paycheque.
"You know what I hate, I hate when celebrities do something very extravagant, buy something very luxurious and there's people in the comments like 'you could of donated that' [...] and it's like...who are you to tell people what to do with they hard workin' ass money," she says in the clip below. "First of all, do you know that artists, celebrities... the IRS, out of every cheque that you make they automatically take 45% of your cheque. That means in order to spend $500K you gotta make at least a million."
She further explains how she, and other artists she knows, take care of their entire family and expenses like that can't get written off.
"Being an artist, looking good for yall, doing all this extra shit to please yall - that shit costs money. Like me for example, my bills is like, I'd say about $300K, $250K every single month and I try to put it cheaper and it's just not."
