While Cardi B's second collection with Fashion Nova is proving to be a huge success, with the capsule close to selling out 24 hours after it hit the web and her performance at the launch party looked great - it seems as though some attendees weren't so pleased. According to Page Six, "Fashion Nova Presents: Party With Cardi" was held at Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles last night and the "Money" rapper was four hours late.
The event started at 8 PM and Cardi reportedly didn't show up to perform until 1 AM. A source tells the publication that many left before she even hit the stage. “[The organizers] were asking people to go downstairs from the balconies and from the outside to go inside and fill up the dance floor since everyone left,” the source explained, noting that, “everyone said the party was a hot mess last time too.”
The late arrival may or may not have had to do with Cardi's recent liposuction. Considering that her doctor told her to hold off on any performances before her Beale Street Music Festival set last week, the rapper still went ahead to please her fans.
“I should have canceled today," she told the crowd. "I shouldn’t really be performing because moving too much is gonna **k up my lipo. But bitch, I’m still gonna get my motherf**king money back, let’s go!”
