In an Instagram Post dating back to the early parts of the morning, Cardi B gives us her thoughts on the "High School Shooting" epidemic, in the wake of the Florida Massacre. Cardi humbly accepts her social responsibility, not toward general political engagement, but in reference to the influence she has over teens.
Cardi remarks on the nature of the shooters normally associated with these tragic events. She posits that teenager that are "socially awkward" generally exhibit repressive personality traits. Cardi for her part does not touch on the issue of gun control, which is also central to the conversation that has ensued.
Cardi blames "bullying" for creating a feeling of helplessness among these kids who resort to violence:
"The devil speaks to you the most when you feel helpless"
