Cardi B dropped GBMV2, her follow-up to 2016's Gangsta Bitch Music, last week, and like it's predecessor, it lives up to its title in every regard. "Lick" comes early on, serving as a good introduction to everything Cardi is about. The Bronx rapper, who found fame through her role in Love & Hip-Hop: New York and her strong internet presence, brings the personality that resonated with her many followers through in a heavy trunk-rattler. She talks tough and brags big, quipping that she looks like she just caught a lick, and of course, saves some jabs for the haters.

I remember walking in the stores
I couldn't buy nothing
They look at me staring
Now I just walk in the stores
I like it I cop it
I don't even think
Bank tellers asking for info
Cos now my deposits on Kimbo
Told that bitch, "Gimme my money!"
Why the fuck you asking all this info?
