The festival business is booming, and the latest contenders to throw their hat in the ring are the organizers of Miami’s Trap Circus, entering its first year. Locking down headliners that include Cardi B, Kodak Black, YFN Lucci, and Rich The Kid, Trap Circus is set to kick off on November 22nd, 2017 with host Adam22 of No Jumper heading up the festivities.
Currently, other names on the lineup include Zoey Dollaz, Yung Simmie, Chris Travis, Lil Tracy, Warhol SS, Hood Celebrityy, and Rojas on The Beat among others. In addition to the lineup, fans will get the opportunity experience carnival rides and circus-themed games.
This particular lineup is full of heavy-hitters moving into the prime of their careers as Kodak Black dropped off his debut Painting Pictures effort this year, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 200 Charts and housing the double-platinum “Tunnel Vision” single. Where YFN Lucci is concerned, the Atlanta-bred rapper is currently enjoying the fruits of his Long Live Nut EP from April of this year which hosted the now Gold-certified “Everyday We Lit” track, featuring PnB Rock.
As for Cardi B, the Bronx native is having a breakout year for the ages as she topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart back in October with her “Bodak Yellow” single, becoming the second unaccompanied female emcee to do so. She recently made some more history via the Billboard charts after becoming the first woman to have her first three top 10 tracks on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart simultaneously with “Bodak Yellow,” in addition to the Migos and Nicki Minaj collab “Motorsport,” and G-Eazy’s “No Limit.”
The last time anyone did that, male or female, was in 2015 when Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen,” “My Way,” and “679” sat on the charts simultaneously for 13 weeks. If all this wasn’t enough, Bardi also secured an engagement to Migos’ Offset last month while the two performed at Philadelphia’s Powerhouse show. Currently, she’s prepping a Latin Trap collaboration with artist Ozuna in the form of a new track set to appear on Ozuna’s new album.
