Last week, Rita Ora dropped off her massive girl gang cut, "Girls," alongside Bebe Rexha, Cardi B and Charli XCX. The song itself marked a massive return for Rita Ora and likely, a massive song for the summer. However, it quickly received criticism from the LGBTQ community for it's "tone-deaf" depiction of bisexuality. Kehlani and Hayley Kiyoko were two people that were outspoken about how the song made them feel. Now, Bardi's has chimed in on the conversation and explained her intentions with the song.
Cardi B has offered a response to Rita Ora's "Girls" in the midst of the controversy. Bardi explained that she wasn't trying to cause harm or offend anyone with the song.
"We never try to cause harm or had bad intentions with the song .I personally myself had experiences with other woman ,shiieeett with a lot of woman ! I though the song was a good song and i remember my experience," she wrote.
Cardi B has received backlash from the LGBTQ community in the past from some offensive terms she used. She explained that she was ignorant at the time and after gaining knowledge about these terms, she stopped using them.
"I know i have use words before that i wasn’t aware that they are offensive to the LGBT community .I apologize for that .Not everybody knows the correct “terms “to use.I learned and i stopped using it." She said.
