Caleborate has kept a low profile since he released his 1993 album last August. His latest release "Produced by J. Cole" chronicles his struggles to find financial footing and gain traction in a convoluted industry in which the odds are stacked heavily against independent artists.
The beat samples the score from J. Cole's HBO documentary Your Eyez Only, A Dreamville Film. "Cole I need a beat like you need a damn haircut," Caleb raps, "Cole I need a beat, got some bars you wouldn't dare touch."
