Burger King is now offering a brand new, vegan-friendly breakfast menu item. The fast-food chain announced the launch of their new Impossible Croissan’wich on Monday, a breakfast sandwich served on a croissant with a sausage by Impossible Foods, a company known for its plant-based imitation meat.

In a press release for the new product, the restaurant chain writes, "After a successful test earlier this year in select U.S. markets, BK guests across the country can now get the same Croissan’wich breakfast sandwich they know and love with a delicious Impossible Sausage Made From Plants,"

"This new menu item makes Burger King the first national restaurant to offer Impossible Sausage Made From Plants on a breakfast sandwich," it continued. "The all-new, limited-time-only Impossible Croissan’wich features a toasted flaky croissant, fluffy eggs, melted American cheese and a seasoned sausage made from plants from Impossible Foods."

To help promote the launch, the fast-food giant is giving away up to 100,000 of the Impossible Croissan-wich sandwiches for free. All you have to do is download the app and claim your free sandwich with a minimum $1 purchase at participating locations in the U.S.

Last year, the company debuted another collaboration with Impossible Foods, the Impossible Whopper, a meatless version of their most famous burger item.
