With a new album mere hours away, the legendary Bun B hit up our New York office to break down the legacy behind the "Trill" movement. "I've heard people explained it's true and real combined," explains Bun, who proceeds to add further context. "It's about being one hundred percent with yourself, and being honest with who you are." He explains you don't have to be a gangster or a hustler to keep it Trill, as long as you keep it real with yourself.

One of the more interesting moments arises when Bun is asked about his dream collaboration. "Probably Eminem and Dre," says Bun, having no doubt thought about this one prior. "But I would definitely want to do it together, you know what I'm saying? Have all three of us involved with it. The opportunity just hasn't arisen, but that's probably the last rapper left on the list that I haven't worked with." While one has to wonder if such a collaboration will ever come to fruition, rumours of both Eminem and Dr. Dre albums have been swirling. Perhaps there is still time, and while this would have been utter madness in the early millennium, it would remain a magnificent moment in hip-hop history even today.

Shout out to Bun B for keeping it Trill, and be sure to support his new album Return Of The Trill dropping tomorrow.
