The Breakaway Festival caters to a predominant hip hop crowd. Unlike other festivals, Breakaway takes its lineup on the road of five cities, the first of which took place on April 7 in Dallas, Texas. After a pause in activity for the better part of the summer months, Breakaway will resume its course in Grand Rapids & Columbus on Aug. 24-25. Two separate lineups have been concocted for that weekend's festivities, as both gigs will kick off concurrently.

For starters, the lineup in Grand Rapids will include Odesza, Bourgeous, Khalid, Jaden Smith, Flosstradamus, Kayzo, Maxo Kream, Tee Grizzley, Dombresky, Grey, Super Future and several more to be determined. The Columbus lineup is loftier by virtue of its Migos inclusion and the addition of tertiary date on the 26th. Other notable names on the bill include Odesza (again), Halsey, Flatbush Zombies, Smokepurpp, Rich the Kid, Yunch Pinch, Jai Wolf, Dombresky (again) and Nessly. Some of the alternating acts will travel from Grand Rapids to Columbus and vice versa, depending on the the demands of the schedule.

Breakaway is also hard at work organizing events planned for Nashville on Oct. 5-6 and Charlotte on Oct. 12-13. You can purchase your tickets here on their website if you are so inclined.
