BrandUn DeShay is a young L.A. creative who does a little bit of everything, most notably rapping, singing, and producing. After producing recent tracks for Dumbfounded and Audio Push, he has now taken on a new artistic alias: Ace Hashimoto. In doing so, he has released the sequel to last year's goldUn Child. He wishes to gain the same level of respect as an adventurous solo artist that he enjoys as an eclectic West Coast producer, and he hopes that Hashimoto will take him there, beginning with goldUnChild: 2. A notable track on the 14-song release is "WAIT," as it features an intriguing cast, with 16-year-old Toronto singer Ebhoni closing the song with a dark and lucid response to the preceding passage of light, dazed flattery from Hashimoto. Production comes from WondaGurl, another teenage sensation from TO, as well as JXHNSCXTT and DeShay himself.
