We've previously featured the music of Brad Bonds in our Heatseekers section, and he returns today with "Night Time". Hailing from Brampton, the Toronto-bordering city that has spawned the likes of Tory Lanez and Wondagurl, Bonds' music is adjacent to the R&B-inflected textural music coming out of Drake's hometown, but it manages to set itself apart just enough to allow him his own voice. There's no dark atmosphere to hide behind on "Night Time," instead reaching towards brighter melodies that force him to put his voice front-and-centre, proving he's got the songwriting chops to stand on his own two feet as a performer.
