Boosie Badazz' may have been relatively quiet on a music front this year but that isn't to say he's not working. The rapper hasn't released much music throughout 2017 but he's built the anticipation up for his upcoming album BooPac. While much of the conversation that initially surrounded the album with the title's play on 2Pac's name, it seems that he's delivering some music to fulfill his fans need for new music. Today, he gets introspective on "Dirty Diary."
Boosie gets honest on his latest single. It's no secret that Boosie's overcome a lot of trials and tribulations during his life. Between his upbringing in South Baton Rouge to facing charges that could've potentially led to to the death penalty to beating cancer, Boosie's faced a lot in his life. However, those issues bleed into his music. "Dirty Diary" has Boosie confronting some of his darkest thoughts. From the lyrics to his voice, Boosie hones the pain he's endured and releases it in the booth. It's a heartfelt joint that continues. The single came alongside a video as well. Throughout the video, Boosie is seen shirtless lying on a red carpet, reflecting on everything he's been through while writing in his diary.
The name of the album might be controversial but in a way, it makes sense. Pac's had the ability to be completely vulnerable with the music he wrote and creating songs and albums that resonated with his fans. It's far fetched to call anyone a new 2Pac but Boosie continuously puts his heart on his sleeve in a similar way that 2Pac did. "Dirty Diana" is hopefully an indication of what we could expect from Boosie on his upcoming album.
You heard ol' boy got his issue,
guess when we come they don't miss ya
Too many dead, I need tissue
This life is so far from pretty
Rest in peace to my hittas
