Kimbo Slice made the nation wince with a mix of excitement and disgust when he pummeled his opponents into bloody pulps. The world-famous backyard brawler rose to fame on the internet after several videos of his fights went viral. From there, he entered the world of MMA after he signed a contract with Bellator. Slice was building his name in the MMA arena when he passed away in 2016 at the age of 42. Now, the brutal brawler will be honored with a biopic.

According to DeadlineBlack Panther and Avengers: Infinity War actor Winston Duke is set to play Slice in the film. Duke, who became a breakout star for his performance as M'Baku, has the Kimbo Slice look down, but it won't be easy portraying the fighter. Training to become the massive brawler, and embodying his earth-rattling personality, will surely be a task for Duke. “I’m looking forward to exploring Kimbo’s story and interrogating the expectations society places on men like him who are their own special breed of hero," stated the 31-year-old Trinidadian. At the moment, there is no release date or director attached to the biopic. Andy Weiss (White Boy Rick) is writing the script, while Steve Lee Jones’ Bee Holder Productions and Michael J. Weiss’ Webros Entertainment are producing the film.
