BIA's got no time for the fake love in the Hills.
BIA is Boston-bred through and through, but the young emcee has called Los Angeles home for some time now since coming onboard with Pharrell's i am OTHER label.
Most recently, the Perico Princess dropped off her Nice Girls Finish Last: Cuidado EP for our aural pleasure and with it came the latest video for her "Hollywood" lead single.
Murda's on the beat. So, naturally, it's not nice as BIA waxes on about the shady dealings of Hollywood and her resolve to remain true to herself. "Yes I’m in the valley but I got no silicone/Everybody know me, I’m low-key but well-known," raps BIA.
"There's a wittiness that comes from being [from Boston]." BIA recently tells NYLONin a recent conversation. "You’re street-smart, but you’re also real book-smart. I noticed that people who come from Boston are just different. Liberal, but tapped in [...] L.A. is like the last stop on the train. Basically, when you come here, you have to have your plan. You have to know what you want to do. For me, it was like a fantasy world. Moving to L.A., for me, was like, 'This is not real life.' Everybody lives in their own bubble here."
