Dope

Benzi Ayo hasn't shared a whole lot of info about himself, but his music doesn't need much context. His new track, "Dope," is the kind of street music we're used to hearing in 2016, but the vocal performance gives it a leg above the many rising rappers attempting the sound. Benzi has a very animated delivery, but it never takes away from the complex rhythms and flows he finds himself navigating on the record. It's the kind of natural songwriting sense that can take a record like this from passable to exciting. We'll be keeping an eye on Benzi's next moves.
