This unlikely collaboration is shaping up to be one of the biggest of the year.

BAPE is a giant when it comes to streetwear. Over the last few decades, the brand has teamed up with a plethora of different staples of pop culture to create incredibly iconic and memorable collaborations. This time around, it appears as though BAPE is pairing up with toy company Mattel, for a Barbie collab. Barbie has been around since 1959, making this year their 60th anniversary. To mark this anniversary, Barbie has been partnering with other brands such as Puma for some fashionable clothing collections.

Both BAPE and Barbie took to their respective Instagram accounts to show off what the collection will look like and what some of the items are. Interestingly enough, it seems as though Barbie Dolls and clothes will both be a part of the collection. One post shows off three Barbie Dolls which are wearing BAPE clothing, while some of the other posts show both adults and kids wearing BAPE x Barbie apparel. These pieces include shirts, hoodies, and jackets.

There is no official release date for all of these pieces, although it appears as though it will be coming quite soon. Be sure to stay tuned for updates as we will be sure to provide them as soon as they come along.
