Azealia Banks, who is known more for her Twitter beefs than her position in the rap game, managed to increase her sales after calling Perez Hilton a "faggot."

After Azealia released a diss track towards fellow female rapper Angel Haze, Perez and Azealia got into a war of words via Twitter. That is when Azealia hurled the slur "faggot," as well as called him "dickbreath."

Banks received a lot of blacklash for using the word, and tried to defend herself by explaining her usage of it. Even though she received negative attention, the sales on her 1991 EP have actually increased since the news broke. She saw an 18% increase in sales of 1991, and a 3% increase in sales of her single "212."

We'll have to see how the sales are for her debut album, Broke With Expensive Taste, hitting the net and stores on February 12th.
