Olsen wanted to play Daenerys.
Elizabeth Olsen is blessed to be involved in the biggest movie franchise of all time. She played Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. Altogether, that's quite a few billions that Olsen can connect herself too. Before she was starring in such successful movies though, Olsen was trying to find her breakout role. Prior to being a superhero, Olsen was busy auditioning for any role she could get. That even included Game Of Thrones.
Speaking with Vulture at an Emmys consideration event, Olsen shared the story of her Game Of Thrones audition. “When I first started working, I just auditioned for everything, because I like auditioning. And I auditioned for Khaleesi. I forgot that,” she stated. “It was the most awkward audition I’d ever had.” Olsen says she auditioned with a scene from the end of the first season. “[From] after she just burned. And she’s making this speech to thousands of people about how she’s their queen. They didn’t know if they wanted a British accent or not. So, you did it in both. It was terrible. Anytime someone says, ‘Bad audition story.’ That’s one I remember.” Everything worked out for the best though.
