DJ Nando, a staple in the Atlanta hip-hop community and a popular local DJ, passed away this morning after he was shot outside his own home in Georgia.
Nando, real name William Fernando, was reportedly fatally shot outside his Clayton County home early Tuesday morning. The details aren't all clear, at first it was being reported that Nando died in a car accident, however these rumors proved to be false. According to RollingOut, police report that Nando received a shot to the head, and was found dead outside his home at around 4 AM.
Police have not revealed a motive or suspects for the shooting as of yet. Fellow rappers and DJs have been sending out their condolences on Twitter. DJ Drama tweeted, "RIP DJ Nando. Im at a loss for words. Today, Atlanta will mourn. One of our most influential members." Bow Wow shared, "1 time for @djnando404 real A-Town ish ONYX will never be the same. You will be missed homie! #stoptheviolence."
DJ Nando had a gig djing at popular clubs like Magic City and Onyx in ATL, he was also a member of the Coalition DJs. May he rest in peace.
