Cardi B's collaboration with Fashion Nova was highly-anticipated, considering the popularity of both entities. The collection dropped on Wednesday, November 14, and has already sold out most of its pieces. A couple of these items caught the attention of Ashanti's sister, Kenashia Douglas, a rising fashion designer. According to Douglas, Cardi's line ripped one of its featured looks from her repertoire.

The designer expressed how cunning some individuals can be in their efforts to succeed in their industry. She specified how some people are quick to take credit for work that belongs to other artists: "I peeped people, certain designers I’ve worked with even! try to run with the design and make it their own." Douglas uploaded visual content depicting the design of her matching set as well as Cardi's for comparison.

Kenashia seemed to be taking this situation in stride, perceiving the imitation as more than simple flattery. Considering her aspirations, the alleged ripoff can be perceived as a form of validation. Having entities of this high caliber and popularity sell out of designs that bear such similarity to hers will only encourage the creative to keep pushing and "never doubt" her talents again.

"I charged it to the game cuz I’m no hater bitch and I know the possibilities of my creativity are limitless & I can Rely solely on that an be good! however, im reminded no matter how old never doubt myself! #Fashionnova"
