A catchy new single from a reliable team.

Ty Dolla $ign and DJ Mustard are a proven hitmaking team, and they form as a strong support section on Ashanti's new single "Say Less." The track features the bouncy West Coast sound Mustard has been fine-tuning for years now, while Ty provides additional vocals to Ashanti's coos. the singer's last album Braveheart, arrived in 2014. While she has yet to announce a follow-up project, rumors have been circulating after she appeared to be working with Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee on some new music. "Swae Lee x Ashanti, you know what it is," Swae captioned a recent photo of the two together.

Ashanti announced "Say Yes" when she was approached by a TMZ cameraman last month. "I have a new song coming out, it's call "Say Less" and I think that it sounds dope," she said. "I just mixed it in Atlanta. That's what I was doing actually in Miami, recording records."

Ty released his sophomore album Beach House 3 last month. The singer has become an increasingly common guest on other artists' song, which he commented on in a recent interview with HOT 97. "That just happened, I didn't know that, like, everyone was going to want me on their records," he said. Last year, Ty was featured on Fifth Harmony's "Work From Home," which has gone on to be his highest-charting song to date, something he's had mixed feelings about. “I’ve been making music for fucking years, and then ‘Work From Home’ is my biggest song?” he said in an interview with Billboard. “It is a great song. But I feel like I’ve made other, better songs that didn’t blow to the top. Keep on going, and it’ll happen for me.”

Quotable Lyrics:
Like stop it, them bitches over there, not poppin'
Eh, we gonna order more bottles
And they can't tell me nothing, no
Like get in my face, say less
If it ain't about the money, say less
If he ain't from the clique, say less
Bitch, say less
