A$AP Ferg takes it to the school ground for his video for "Nandos."
A$AP Ferg has had a great month. Still Striving dropped over a week and a half a go and the Mob dropped their project last week. While he's been simultaneously promoting his effort and the Mob's, he's also been working on the second Trap Lord Adidas collection. The collection was unveiled recently in a 30 second preview. The teaser for the shoe line served as a double whammy as Ferg also previewed the video for "Nandos" off of his latest mixtape. The sneakers are due out on September 1st but before those are unleashed to the public, Ferg has finally dropped the full video for "Nandos."
Ferg recruits inner-city youth to be the focal point of the video as they take over an abandoned school for the "Nandos" video. With kids skateboarding through decrepit hallways to biking through fields of tall grass and spray painting crosses on the wall, A$AP Ferg's vision for the song gets translated well. Everyone in the video, including the kids, are sporting Ferg's adidas line so while it does come across as a well-put together visual for the song, it also serves as a promotional video for his upcoming Adidas collaboration.
In all honesty, Ferg may be a marketing genius with the release of this video. It's pretty much back-to-school time and kids are getting their freshest gear together to flex on the first day. The collaboration drops just the weekend before school starts so with affordable prices behind two legitimate brands coming together, there are bound to be plenty of their collection being worn. Plus, Ferg recruited some very fashionable youngins' to sport the clothes throughout the video so that definitely doesn't hurt.
Hopefully soon, we'll be seeing Ferg take the Still Striving mixtape on the road soon after the release his Adidas x Trap Lord collection.
