A musical paradigm shift.

Ariana Grande's last release came out a matter of weeks ago. While Sweetener was hardly two-months-old, the "god is a woman" singer already began teasing new music. According to one of the exchanges she engaged with on social media, fans can expect to hear more from their idol sooner rather than later.

The pop star is looking forward to sharing her music in an unusual way in terms of the roll-out of her material. She would much rather offer her art while it's still young, rather than have it lose its freshness through a traditional promotional cycle.

"it ain’t ova ! i don’t really like “era’s”. i jus wanna make music and drop it whenever and perform it. i don’t want to conform to the like ... ‘routine’ or like ‘formula’ anymore. i love music i ain’t waiting another 2 years to drop it. i want to share it w u when it’s freshhh."

Her change of perspective might have been influenced by the time she spent healing herself. Her team had informed the media of her needing to take time away from the spotlight, shortly after the death of her ex-partner Mac Miller. The emotions involved in this process may be connected to this new "carpe diem" type of mindset.
