Oh, Apple. You make some of the most intuitive user-friendly products in the world, but somehow there's always an underlying issue. The iPhone creator was sued last year for slowing down old models with updates. Although it was not a surprise to anyone who owns an iPhone, when Apple actually admitted to doing what everyone already suspected, it started a storm of negative press. Now, Apple is being sued for another one of their products, the Macbook. 

According to Newsweek a new class action lawsuit was filed in California that alleges Apple knowingly sold their MacBook laptops despite the product displaying a fault with the keyboard. Allegedly, MacBook models since 2015 and MacBook Pro models since 2016 all feature the same defect. The lawsuit states that, “Complaints of keyboard failures began to come in shortly after the 2015 MacBook was launched. Despite awareness of the keyboard defect, Apple equipped future model MacBook and MacBook Pro laptops with the butterfly keyboard and continued selling these laptops to consumers at premium prices." 

Apparently, when Apple switched from a “scissor” spring system to a new “butterfly” system the defect began taking place. The lawsuit continues on to claim that, “Apple knew that the MacBook is defective at or before the time it began selling the affected models to the public."
