It's been a tumultuous relationship between the Pittsburgh Steelers and wide receiver Antonio Brown. During the week of New Year's,e multiple rumors circulated the team regarding why Brown sat out the last game of the season. It was revealed that it was due to an altercation with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger at practice. During that week Brown even made it seem as though he wished to be traded from the team, despite reports saying he never demanded a move.

Now, in an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Steelers president Art Rooney II is saying that it's "hard to envision" Brown playing with the squad next season.

“There’s not much we can do right now; we have time to make a decision,” Rooney told the Post-Gazette. “We’ll look at all the options. We’re not going to release him, that’s not on the table. But I will say all other options are on the table.

As the Post-Gazette reported, the Steelers can't do anything with Brown until the 2019 season officially starts on March 13th. On the 17th, Brown will be owed a $2.5 million roster bonus which would ultimately cost the Steelers. Although, Rooney stated that he won't let that deter them from making a later move if need be.

The Steelers failed to make the playoffs this season, finishing with a record of 9-6-1.
