The heist that left Kim Kardashian gagged and bound while nearly $10 million worth of jewelry was looted from her swanky Parisian hotel is still an ongoing case with French police. Reports now indicate that a 28 year-old man was arrested in the French Riviera this week in connection to this crime that made worldwide headlines nearly two years ago.

The suspect was detained on Tuesday morning after police raided his home, and was promptly transported to Paris where he will face a judge who continues to sort through this robbery.

During the incident, the thieves were able to steal Kardashian's engagement ring given to her by husband Kanye West, alongside other items that were lent to the beauty mogul while attending Paris Fashion Week. In January 2017, 17 men were arrested and charged with perpetrating the burglary.

The Selfish author detailed the incident on an episode of her hit reality series, relaying all the harrowing minutiae to her sisters Kourtney and Khloe. "He grabs my legs and I wasn't, I had no clothes on under my robe, and he pulled me towards him at the front of the bed and I thought, 'okay, this is the moment. They're going to rape me.' And I fully mentally prepped myself and then he didn't and he duct taped my legs together."

She continues to reveal how "they had the gun up to me and I just knew that was the moment they are just totally going to shoot me in the head. I just prayed Kourtney was going to have a normal life after she sees my dead body on the bed."
