Angelina Jolie has been off the grid for what feels like a while and according to The Hollywood Reporter she's planning quite a major comeback since she'll be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The publication details how the Mr. & Mrs. Smith actress is in talks to star in Marvel Studios' The Eternals.
Angelina has chosen the project based on the title "about superpowered and near-immortal beings known as Eternals and a more monstrous offshoot known as the Deviants that were created by the cosmic beings called Celestials." Sources tell the publication how one aspect of the movie revolves around a love story between Ikaris "a man fueled by cosmic energy" and a character named Sersi "who relishes moving amongst humans." It's unclear who Angelina is set to play in the film.
As for Angelina's other projects, she's also working on the upcoming Maleficent: Mistress of Evil that's arriving this fall, The One and Only Ivan that's described as an animation/live-action film that the actress is also producing.
“We’re all trying to find balance, as people. I think to be a balanced person, you have to find those things that you just purely enjoy," Angelina previously stated when discussing raising six children while maintaining her career. "But, of course, if you aren’t participating in the bigger picture of life, and in being somehow useful, and you aren’t doing something and growing, then really, you’ll find you’re not very happy. Really, you’ll have quite an empty life."
