Anglea Simmon's baby father tragically passed away last weekend after a drive-by shooting that cops suspect was prompted by a disagreement with the individuals. New reports from Page Six say Angela wasn't on the best of terms with her baby father, Sutton, before his passing as they were in Manhattan's Family Court on October 30th. “It wasn’t lovey-dovey, there’s a reason people go to court,” a source told the publication. Apparently, Sutton was paying $1,250 a month in child support but Anglea wanted more. Angela received temporary custody of their son in July and when they split in December 2017 she filed a domestic violence claim against him.
Right before his death, Sutton was preparing to fight for joint custody of his son. “He tried hard to be in the child’s life,” the source added.
“Ms. Simmons has no comment and thanks the media for respecting her privacy as she grieves the tragic loss of her son’s father,” Angela's lawyer said of the happenings.
