Anderson .Paak Pays Homage To Mac Miller & Nipsey Hussle At Coachella

Anderson .Paak dedicated "Dang!" to both rappers.

Coachella has officially kicked off meaning that festival season has officially commenced. Weekend one of Coachella kicked off yesterday with Childish Gambino serving as the headliner. Anderson . Paak also performed yesterday evening and during his set, he paid his respects to two beloved members of the hip-hop community who were taken away too soon.

Anderson .Paak made sure that his set at Coachella didn't go down without mention of Nipsey Hussle and Mac Miller. During his performance "Dang!" at Coachella, .Paak paid tribute to both Nipsey and Mac. "Dang!" is off of Mac's fourth studio album, The Divine Feminine and features Anderson .Paak. 

Mac Miller passed away last year from a drug overdose in California. The rapper was fresh off the release of his Grammy-nominated album, Swimming.

Anderson.Paak paid respect to Mac last year at the BET Hip Hop Awards in the fall of 2018. 

"Mac Miller was a humble rock star, he was a rapper's rapper, he was a actor, a comedian, a musical genius [...] Mac Miller was a brother, he was my friend," .Paak said. "I loved him and I still love him." 

Aside from his performance at Coachella, Anderson .Paak is fresh off of the release of his latest project, Ventura which arrived on Friday morning, just before he took the stage at Boachella.
