Amy Winehouse was a powerhouse vocalist until her untimely death in 2011 at the age of 27. Winehouse had struggled with addiction for years, but succumbed to alcohol poisoning after ingesting five times the legal driving limit. Her legacy has lived on through the years, but the music industry has never fully recovered from losing such an amazing artist.

Recently, Amy's father Mitch Winehouse stopped by the British talk show Loose Women. One of the topics of discussion was Paul McCartney, who recently did an interview with GQ where he revealed that he wished he reached out to Winehouse to save her from her fate. "The other person I met at the same time was Amy Winehouse, walking down the corridor," he stated. "And I knew she had a problem, and I ended up just saying hi, she said hi, but afterwards I thought I really should have just run after her—'Hey, Amy, listen, you're really good, I really hope you…'—and say something that broke through the despair."

Mitch Winehouse had some words for McCartney. "What would he have done?," questioned Mitch. "It’s up to the person in recovery," he continued. "She had all the support that she needed... "A lot of people think they can fix things, why would he be able to fix things?"
